New Zealand shamefully boasts the highest teen suicide rate in the developed world, with two young people every week taking their own lives, and a further twenty are hospitalised for self-harm. Teenagers face daily pressures that require resilience, grit and courage to overcome if they are to reach their full potential in life. St Peter’s is pioneering the way in wellbeing for teenagers. We have introduced a world-leading wellbeing curriculum that underpins all facets of a St Peter’s education. At St Peter’s, we are leading the way in developing a culture of character in the “Mind, Body, Spirit” tradition that has always been the ethos of St Peter’s. The construction of a state-of-the-art Wellbeing Centre will provide the space in which wellbeing becomes the heart and soul of St Peter’s.
